Community Risk Assessment

The West Chicago Fire Protection District is an "all-hazards" agency that manages complex risks within its jurisdiction.  To better manage these risks, a Community Risk analysis was completed.  The analysis included an evaluation of community hazards/vulnerabilities, demographics, response statistics, topography/infrastructure information, and target hazard identification.  The goal of the analysis is to ensure that the District's resources/capabilities appropriately match the risks within the community.  The analysis was conducted using information over a 5-year period to assess trends.  While the District monitors statistics in real time, a complete update of this analysis will be conducted on a 5-year cycle.  The full version of the Community Risk Assessment report is available by clicking on the image below.
