City/District Intergovernmental Agreement

The West Chicago Fire Protection District and the City of West Chicago have an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) that enables the joint enforcement of common codes and ordinances.  The current IGA was enacted in 2023.  The IGA grants the Fire District the authority to conduct inspections, review plans, require operational permits, and participate in adjudication.
