Paramedic / EMT Education

All new hires are required to be certified Firefighters and Paramedics at the time of hire.

Paid on Call members have the option to continue their education beyond firefighter II and become Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's) or Paramedics. Most Community Colleges have EMT programs and Paramedic classes are held by regional resource hospitals.
