Foundation Activities

The Foundation for Fire and Life Safety was founded in January 1999 to support a variety of public education, safety and fire protection services in the greater West Chicago community. Members have been busy with programming and fundraising activities.

Recently, the Foundation provided funding for the pre-purchase of hotel room vouchers that will be available to those requiring temporary shelter in the event of a fire.

Fundraisers for future programs that address the needs of citizens are also underway. The Foundation has provided seed money for reflective address signs for homeowners. These signs will be sold as a fundraiser and will be available through the WCFPD and other community groups, Including the Lion's Club and Kiwanis, for $20 each.
