Fire Station Staffing

The West Chicago Fire Protection District is a proud family of men and women dedicated to serving a diverse community. Four manned fire stations serve the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Paid on Call staff complement the skilled full time staff. The following is a brief synopsis of the duty shift manning at each fire station.

Station 1 - 200 Fremont Street

• Shift Deputy Chief (Chief 806)
• Shift Lieutenant (Paramedic Tower 817, Engine 811, Squad 815 or Tender 814)
• 2-4 firefighter/paramedics (Paramedic Tower 817, Engine 811, Truck 817, Squad 815 or Tender 814)
• 1 Paid on Call firefighter supplement to above

Station 2 - 1651 Atlantic Drive

• Shift Lieutenant (Paramedic Engine 821)
• 2 firefighter/paramedics (Paramedic Engine 821)
• 2 paramedic/firefighters (Medic 820)

Station 3 - 1080 Commerce Drive (Maintenance Facility)

• Shift Lieutenant (Paramedic Engine 831)
• 2 firefighter/paramedics (Paramedic Engine 831)
• 2 paramedic/firefighters (Medic 830)

Station 4 - 1700 Powis Road (DuPage Airport)

• 1 ARFF Certified firefighter/paramedic (Rescue 842, Rescue 843)
