Central Dupage EMSS

Central DuPage Hospital plays an integral part in the daily operation of the West Chicago Fire Protection District. A majority of calls for service are for the ambulance. Central Dupage Hospital or "CDH" serves as the resource medical hospital that the Paramedics function under. CDH is a part of the Region VIII Emergency Medical Systems which create a "standard of care" including protocols for every type of medical emergency. Located in Winfield, IL, CDH is approximately 8 minutes from downtown West Chicago and is the hospital of choice to transport medical patients too. Every West Chicago paramedic is licensed through the Illinois Department of Public Health and practices Paramedician through the Central Dupage Emergency Medical System.
